Photograph the meter reading every month
One photo a month on the same date. When a bill arrives that looks wrong you have proof instead of an argument, and you can see for yourself which month the usage jumped.

Unplug the TV at the board, not the remote
Set-top boxes and older TVs draw real power on standby. Switching them off at the wall is a small monthly saving that costs nothing. Modern LED TVs draw very little, so do not lose sleep over those.

Hang a wet bedsheet or khus mat right in front of the table fan and point it at the bed. Air comes through the wet cloth and drops the room temperature by a few degrees. Re-wet it once at 2am. Works best in dry heat — in humid coastal cities it just makes the room sticky.

Turmeric on a small cut
A pinch of haldi on a clean minor cut is the standard household response and it does help stop the bleed. Wash first with clean water. Anything deep, dirty or still bleeding after ten minutes needs a doctor, not a kitchen.
