Cardboard behind the switchboard photo frame
A frame that will not sit straight usually has an uneven wall behind it. Stick a folded bit of cardboard to the low corner on the back of the frame. It stays level and the fix is invisible.

One bag lives by the door
A folded cloth bag hanging on the door handle gets used. The same bag in a cupboard does not. That is the whole difference between owning cloth bags and actually using them.

Khus mat on the window in May
Hang a khus or bamboo chik outside the window and wet it at noon. The room gets cooler air and the smell of wet khus, which is half the point. Dry heat only — in coastal humidity it does nothing.

Hang a wet bedsheet or khus mat right in front of the table fan and point it at the bed. Air comes through the wet cloth and drops the room temperature by a few degrees. Re-wet it once at 2am. Works best in dry heat — in humid coastal cities it just makes the room sticky.

A router on the floor sprays half its signal into the slab below. Anything that gets it to chest height and out of a cupboard helps more than changing the plan.
